About
Hi, I'm Abby
Wife, mom of two under two, former WVU gymnast, former physician assistant, and a follower of Jesus.
I'm a wife, a mom of two little ones under two, and a follower of Jesus. Most days are full, loud and beautiful, and somewhere in the middle of them God keeps showing up. This journal is where I write down what He's teaching me.
Before the diapers, there was chalk
I grew up in York, Pennsylvania, training as a Level 10 gymnast at Prestige Gymnastics, and went on to compete for four seasons as a Division I gymnast at West Virginia University (as Abby Kaufman).
In 2019 I competed in the all-around in all 14 meets and received the Joseph Medrick Award as the team's top all-around gymnast. That same year I was named Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year and an Academic All-American, while studying exercise physiology.
Medicine and a logical mind
After WVU, I became a physician assistant (PA) and worked in a family practice. Medicine trained me to think logically: to ask good questions, look carefully at the evidence and work things through step by step. I bring that same way of thinking here, to faith, family and the questions that come with both.
Church and Kid Life
Our family is part of Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, where I help in Kid Life, our children's ministry.
